Our medical doctors are orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists who diagnosis and treat injury to the musculoskeletal system: muscles, bones, nerves, tendons and ligaments in children and adults. Our doctors are experts in orthopedic subspecialites treating injuries to the elbow, foot, hand, hip, knee, shoulder, and spine, as you will learn by clicking a doctor’s picture to read his biography.
Many orthopedic conditions can be treated without surgery, and our doctors may recommend a rehabilitation program in our extensive sports therapy facility. When surgery is necessary, we have three operating rooms on site, so our orthopedic surgeons can conduct most surgery in-house and you won’t have to travel to a hospital.
At Atlanta Sports Medicine our doctors specialize in orthopedic surgery to repair sports injuries, but our doctors also treat many patients for orthopedic conditions that are not sports related, such as arthritis, knee replacement, hip replacement, spinal surgery, scoliosis, fractures, orthopedic oncology.
Each patient has his/her own assigned doctor, supported by our other doctors and physician assistants when your doctor isn’t available. Your doctor may be out for several weeks yearly to teach and learn advances in orthopedics, because we believe continuing post-graduate education is critical to care best for our patients.
