Jessica is a licensed physical therapist. She obtained both her Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of Florida. While a student there she was heavily involved in research concerning the biopsychosocial aspects of pain and received the Dean’s Scholar Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis. She also worked at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas as a research assistant investigating the prevention of low back pain in the military. She has been credited in numerous articles involving these topics and is currently in the writing process of a case series. Since 2004 she has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in which she belongs to both the Research and Sports sections. Jessica has previously completed internships in acute care, neurological rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, and sports rehabilitation. She worked at Physiotherapy Associates in outpatient orthopedics before joining the Atlanta Sports Medicine group in March 2011.
Jessica currently lives in Buckhead with her fiancee and enjoys cycling, hiking, and playing pool.
